As the school counselor for all students in grades 6-12, I work with both students and parents in academic and career planning.ááIn addition, Iáassist students with managing social/emotional issues they face as teens.

Norbert L. Gazin Education Fund Scholarship

The Norbert L. Gazin Education Fund Scholarship applications are available in the Counseling Center. High School seniors are eligible to apply, as well as Alumni and Graduate students. Applicants must be:

1) Born in Lewis County or parents resided in Lewis County at the time of birth;
2) A resident of Lewis County for at least five years prior to application, be enrolling or enrolled in a full time college program;
3) High School seniors who are not declaring one of the priority majors (Engineering, Agriculture, Forestry) must have a minimum G.P.A. of 80% to apply. High School students who are declaring PRIORITY majors must have a minimum of a 70% G.P.A. to apply for the Gazin Scholarship. .

Alumni should have a minimum of a 2.5 cumulative G.P.A. and must submit their most recent (fall 2015) transcript. You can print a copy of the scholarship application here.

Graduate students may only apply if they are enrolled in one of the priority majors: engineering, agriculture, or forestry and have a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0.

See the scholarship application for full application requirements. Applications are due to the Copenhagen Counseling Center no later than March 24, 2016 *No late or complete applications will be accepted.
ACT TEST DATES: April 9th!
The registration DEADLINE for the April 9th ACT is FRIDAY, March 4th (Carthage, JCC).
The registration DEADLINE for the June 11th ACT is FRIDAY, May 6th (Lowville, JCC).
You can register online or visit the Counseling Center for an application packet.
SAT TEST DATE: March 5th!!
The registration DEADLINE for the March 5th SAT Test is February 5th (Watertown).
The registration DEADLINE for the May 7th SAT Test is April 8th (Carthage, Lowville, Watertown).
The registration DEADLINE for the June 4th SAT Test is May 5th (Watertown).
You can register online or visit the Counseling Center for an application packet.
Upcoming Events at CCS!

February 4th: SPC Erica Loucks of the Army National Guard will be at the cafeteria entrance during lunch to speak with interested students.
February 14th: SSGT Stewart Mendenhall of the U. S. Air Force will be at the cafeteria entrance during lunch to speak with interested students.
February 26th: An admissions representative for SUNY Polytechnic Institute will be in the Counseling Center from 12:05-12:45pm to speak with interested students.
